"Café Carl", situated in the Selketal in Mägdesprung invites you to rest and linger.
From the CAFÉ it is only a 6-10 minute walk to the old mining museum, the former Carlswerk, the CAFÉ's namesake.
Café Carl is housed in the lower of the two former workers' houses (III. Hammer) which were in use between 1827 and 1850. 8 families used to live here during the heyday of the Carlswerk. Nowadays, the cafe seats up to 22 patrons. In the warmer months there are additional seating areas on the terrace, in the courtyard and on the front lawn.
